Contamination of groundwater supplies with arsenic in Bangladesh is a major public health problem, with clear evidence of chronic arsenic poisoning. The study will be a cross-sectional study to measure the extent of this poisoning, investigate the contribution of food and water and look for dose-response relationships to assist in the setting of intervention criteria for drinking water.
