Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is a major public health problem and is a leading cause of death in Australia.
This project aims to investigate the relationship between out-of-hospital cardiac arrests and air pollution in Melbourne so that relevant Australian data can be obtained to inform policy makers and guide the revision and development of future National Environment Protection Measures.
Furthermore the study will aid in understanding the important public health problem of the serious effects of particulate air pollution on the heart.
